Some times I get asked to do different art than what I usually do. I always find it rewarding and daunting at the same time. I wonder if I am creating something that the customer had in mind or is not at all what they had in mind. It’s scary to put myself out there…To spend time on and create an item that you hope someone will love. There have been times that I have had to redo paintings because it is not exactly what the client had in mind. If only I could read minds for these certain tasks. Ha. These art projects are a extension of a gift I have been given turned in to a job. Like any job there is the “you did a good job or I need you to redo that work”. That’s part of growing and helping me become better at my gift. I’m not saying that it isn’t hard but in the end it is rewarding. And sometimes you might hear “that art is as good as the art I hang in my house”. I encourage you to not give up, to keep working when there is criticism, you will be glad you did.
