Do you decorate for the different seasons? Ever since I had children, I have. I’m not sure if the boys even notice it anymore, but when they were little they did. My oldest son would ask where all the decorations were after watching the Little Bill cartoon on T.V. There seemed to be a lot of celebrations on that show. When the boys were little, they would color pictures to hang up just like I did when I was little. My mom would let us tape our pictures to the front windows so all our neighbors would see our festive work as they would walk by. Now we have a chalkboard painted on our pantry door that I scribble something fun on, and the pictures have been replaced with grown-up decor. The other day I mentioned that I stopped by my favorite store in our village (the only one) and bought some pumpkins to put on our porch and deck. This morning I went out and placed them around until I was satisfied they looked good. And so I am still decorating for the seasons and adding the touch of warmth to the spaces around me. I also enjoy incorporating various seasonal crafts, such as making wreaths and garlands, to infuse the house with a festive spirit. Moreover, I take pleasure in creating seasonal centerpieces for our dining table, using elements like foliage and candles to bring a charming seasonal touch to our family gatherings. It’s a wonderful way to evoke the spirit of each season and create cherished memories with our loved ones. Additionally, I often incorporate seasonal scents, such as cinnamon and pine, through candles, further enhancing the seasonal ambiance within our home, and filling it with delightful fragrances that evoke the essence of each season.
