Yesterday I spent some time reworking my antique booth, which has always been a labor of love for me, requiring both creativity and dedication. I enlisted my friend, who is not only good at hanging items but also incredibly skilled with a drill, making the task much easier and more enjoyable. One of my nieces, a partner in the booth, had a cute old ladder that we wanted to hang from the ceiling as a decorative piece to showcase some of our baskets. I am terrible at things like that, so I was grateful when my friend took the lead and offered her expertise. She drilled holes, attached chains, and securely hung that charming ladder from the ceiling, transforming the space instantly into something truly special. Now, it looks so cute, decked out for Fall, with colorful leaves adorning the ladder rungs, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for our customers that captures the essence of the season. It feels like the booth has a new life, brimming with character and charm, and I’m excited to see what visitors will think of our creative display! As they browse, I hope they feel the warmth and joy we’ve poured into this project, inspiring them to take a little piece of that charm home with them.

I am learning that after a year in business with our booth, about every two weeks it needs to be reworked and new things added to keep the display fresh and exciting. This continuous evolution definitely keeps my mind busy, as I am constantly brainstorming ways to draw in customers and encourage them to explore our unique offerings. I think we choose really great items when we go out picking, but it is truly the way they are presented that sparks interest in the customer, capturing their attention and sparking the imagination. Just yesterday, I added three new items to the booth, and surprisingly, one sold by the end of the day. It wasn’t even on the floor for twenty-four hours before finding its new home! This experience has reinforced my understanding that customers love a good sale. Sometimes, for me, that is hard to reconcile because I invest so much time finding, cleaning, fixing, and repainting items, not to mention that I already have good prices set. Yet, as I consider the fate of those items after the season is over, I realize that I really don’t want to store them due to the constant influx of new products coming in. Therefore, a sale becomes not just an option but a necessity for maintaining a vibrant inventory. All of this to say that booth 7, Evergreen, is now running an exciting sale on all Halloween and Fall items until Christmas decor is set into place. So come on out and see all the cute, festive items we have curated for you to decorate your house, and perhaps find that perfect piece that speaks to your holiday spirit and enhances your home atmosphere!
