Weekend recap…Saturday all I did was paint and make snowmen heads, which was peaceful and creatively fulfilling. I didn’t wash a stitch of laundry or cook a meal, opting instead to indulge in the simple pleasure of crafting, letting my imagination flow freely as I mixed colors and shaped the snowmen. I just put pizza rolls in the air fryer for my youngest and me, enjoying the delightful aroma filling the kitchen. I was in the mode of creating and didn’t want to do anything else, feeling completely at ease in my little bubble of artistic expression, surrounded by art supplies and the joy of my creative process. On Sunday, we went to church, and afterward, the boys came home. Stephen and I took the opportunity to explore an estate sale and stumbled upon some vintage treasures that we couldn’t resist, like a beautiful old quilt and some old paint brushes. To top off our day, we ate at the Biscuit Co. and Bar, savoring their famous biscuits and delightful sides, which felt like a warm hug after a busy weekend. I highly recommend that restaurant if you are ever in Columbia, MO. It’s delicious and a perfect spot to enjoy comfort food with loved ones while sharing stories and laughter. I am excited to paint the snowmen that I made on Saturday. They are made of clay, so it has taken a while for them to dry, but the anticipation of seeing them come to life with colors is thrilling. I will show you the finished project in my next post, where I hope to capture the joy they bring. I did design some new fun art to go on some tea towels, which adds a personal touch to the kitchen. I am excited to show these designs today, except for one that is a surprise and will debut at the Holiday Showcase Vendor Show in California, MO on November 9. It’s been a busy and fulfilling weekend, and I can’t wait to share more of my creative journey with you!
