Today is the day that I’m sharing my gallery wall with you, and I couldn’t be more excited to give you a glimpse into a space that holds so many memories and stories. My friend came over and basically hung every piece of art with the helpful, hands of my son. I have always had a gallery wall on the wall going down my stairs, a perfect spot to display the things I cherish the most. Since our house was painted a couple of weeks ago and the pictures came down with the nails, I decided it was time to freshen the gallery wall up and breathe new life into it. Last time the wall had zero color except for a basket of flowers, which, while lovely, this time it does have muted colors of greens and soft earth tones woven within some artwork, creating a more vibrant and inviting atmosphere. The wall is full of collected pieces that tell my family’s unique story…my great-grandfather’s violin, a beautiful heirloom, windows out of a door, my son Max’s first time writing his name that captures the innocence of childhood, a portrait of my husband given to him by my son Job on a special occasion, a picture of my mom’s family when she was little, frozen in time during a simpler era, a picture of my dad’s navy class showcasing his service and dedication, license plates with special meanings, a picture of Jesus that represents my faith, paintings by me that reflect my personal journey and artistic expression, the letter M because our last name starts with M, symbolizing our family unity, and a framed image of Lincoln, a figure I admire greatly. All favorites of mine, each piece holds a special significance, making it such a fun wall to look at as it brings a smile to my face every time I pass by. I am slowly adding other pictures to our walls and stuff above our kitchen cabinets, carefully curating a collection that reflects who we are as a family and our shared experiences. I will have to take pictures of those when I am finished to share the full transformation of our home. The pictures of the gallery wall art are not the best since it is so gloomy outside, but I hope they still capture the essence of this cherished space.
