It is 3:30 the day after Thanksgiving. I am still in my jammies, cozy and warm, relishing this leisurely time. I just ate the perfect leftovers of pulled pork and mashed potatoes at 3:00 for lunch. I have read a book. I have taken down the Thanksgiving decorations and brought some Christmas decorations upstairs. I think I might start reading another book, perhaps something holiday-themed to get into the spirit of the season. I have not looked at one ad or shopped, resisting the temptation of Black Friday sales as I soak in this peaceful day. I am enjoying the quiet of the day after several days of prepping and having two Thanksgivings. This is a good day. There is really not a lot to share with you, but I will share with you that I did change my bedding to winter bedding. It definitely feels like winter here, and I can’t help but feel grateful for these moments of stillness amidst the holiday hustle and bustle.

The comforter is from Pottery Barn years ago, showcasing a classic design. The striped comforter underneath is from IKEA, adding a layer of texture and a modern touch to the overall look of the bed. The gingham pillows are from Hobby Lobby. The olive pillows (one is peeking out) are from IKEA, providing a pop of color that harmonizes wonderfully with the other accents. The ivory and relaxed pillows are from T.J. Maxx. I will put a throw on the end that is navy, olive, and red plaid that my friend, Angie, gave me last year for Christmas, it perfectly ties together the entire aesthetic.
I hope you had the best Thanksgiving ever, filled with laughter, love, and delicious food shared with friends and family. I am praying for all of you that are traveling during this busy season, may your journeys be safe and smooth, allowing you to create cherished memories wherever you go.
