Happy Monday to you! I hope you find yourself rested and ready to start a new week. It is a cold morning here in Missouri, and it’s going to stay cold all day. As I’m writing this, the sun hasn’t woken up yet, so I’m curious if the day will be sunny. Did you have a good Thanksgiving? The day after Thanksgiving, I really didn’t move off the couch much. I read and read. It was glorious.
WHAT I READ…
One book is not worthy of mention here, but one was a fantastic read. Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate is a historical novel based on true events in our nation’s history, featuring a tale of sadness and enduring power. One real person is mentioned throughout the story: Georgia Tann, a horribly misguided woman who steals children to benefit her pocketbook. It’s hard to fathom the reality of this book, but I know this still happens today. Go read it. You will be glad you did.

WHAT I WATCHED…
I watched the Titanic. I’m not sure if I have ever sat down long enough to watch this movie, but I know if I did, I must have fallen asleep because I have no recollection of it at all. I know that all of you have seen it, so I don’t have to recommend it to you.
WHAT I AM MAKING…
Today I need to finish up some bookmarks that I am taking to the Makers shopping event on Saturday. I also might paint some original paintings of the Lord of the Rings or Star Wars (that would make my husband happy).

WHAT I AM COOKING…
Something with ground beef is on the menu tonight. We have had our fill of pulled pork and turkey.
Well, that’s it for me now. I will see you here on Wednesday.
Best, Amy
