Hello and happy Monday! I hope you had a swell weekend. December is busy with lots to do. On Saturday, my husband and I attended the sweetest wedding of a young lady whom I used to take home from school. It was heartwarming to see how much she has grown and to witness her celebrating such a beautiful milestone. The sermon part of the wedding was so good and cheery, inspiring everyone present with messages of love and commitment. I just loved it, as laughter and happy tears filled the air, creating a memorable atmosphere. We wish Emma and Austin all the best in their new life together, hoping that their journey is filled with endless happiness and cherished memories.

WHAT I HAVE BEEN WATCHING…

I did have a bit of time to watch a show on PBS, Miss Scarlet and the Duke. Eliza Scarlet is a female detective in a male-dominated world, where societal norms often dictate the roles that men and women play in their respective professions. Despite the challenges she faces, Eliza is determined to prove her worth and showcase her skills in investigative work. She needs a partner, which steps forward a detective known as the Duke. Together, they navigate the complex cases that come their way, often drawing on Eliza’s quick wit and keen intuition to solve mysteries that leave others baffled.

WHAT I READ…

Last week I read Matthew Perry’s book Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing. Oh my, my heart went out to the now deceased Matthew Perry. Addiction is a terrible thing that, in the end, took his life. This book is a warning of sorts that shows the power that drugs and alcohol can have on one’s life, often leading people down a dark path filled with despair and isolation. Matthew does, however, give the hope of God and persistence, reminding us that even in the depths of struggle, there is a chance for redemption and recovery. His candid storytelling provides insight into his personal battles, inspiring readers to recognize the importance of support, understanding, and the pursuit of healing in the face of such profound challenges.

WHAT I AM MAKING…

On Saturday, I squeezed some time to be creative. I painted some cherries. I am taking the finished piece to my booth today, hoping it will catch the eye of passersby and bring a touch of color and joy to their day.
