Hello friend. Happy day! It’s Friday, which means the weekend is finally upon us, bringing with it a sense of excitement and anticipation! It is a big weekend filled with cherished moments, starting with Night to Shine tonight, a wonderful event that brings joy and celebration to everyone involved and creates lasting memories for all participants (my husband is graciously babysitting the workers’ children, allowing them to enjoy the evening worry-free). Tomorrow will be busy as well, with teardown on Saturday following the festivities. After all the excitement, to top off the weekend, the favorite team in our house is playing in the Super Bowl. Go Chiefs! We can’t wait to cheer them on.

While going through pictures on my phone, I found some pretty ones that I had taken in the past of the flowers I grew. It made me excited about the warmer days to come, when I could once again immerse myself in the joys of gardening. My dream is always to plant enough flowers to share with others. I envision putting the flowers at the edge of my driveway for people to have as they pass by, brightening their day with splashes of color. When I planted tulip bulbs in the fall, I ran out of steam and didn’t plant enough for this dream, which left me longing for more blooms to greet visitors. So now I am thinking maybe zinnias would be fun to use for this.

Maybe I should add daisies to the mix too, as they would complement the vibrant colors of the zinnias beautifully. I have a patch that I used to have a vegetable garden in, which has been sitting idle for a while now, but I can till it up and plant zinnias and daisies to bring it back to life. I would also like to plant some strawberries in a container. I have done this before. How about you? Are you making plans for spring? What do you plant in your garden?

As always I’m glad you’re here.

Best,

Amy
