Hello friend. Today is Wednesday, and there is no school. We have a winter blast coming; that is what the weatherman called it. We are only supposed to get about four inches of snow, but we are expected to get ice. Ice is the problem on our roads, so it is better to stay in than to try to go out when the roads are bad. I am ready for spring; winter is not my favorite.
It seems like I’ve been thrifting a lot lately. It is so fun to find treasures. I am always buying items to put in my booth. Sunday after church my husband and I went to an estate sale. I purchased several items…

I thought the American Logs tin full of log-like bricks would be fun for an Americana display around the Fourth of July. I love the artwork on the tin. I bought the brown music box for autumn decorating. The cross-stitch picture is already in the booth. It looks nice with all the blue I have in there right now. The round tin is full of wooden spools and thread. It did have the coolest patch in it from World War I. I will be framing the patch and have it out in the booth with my Americana display. The iron will be great for a doorstop or a bookend. It will add character to anyone’s home. I always love old books, especially when they have an inscription in them. This one just has the owner’s name and maybe the college dorm where he once lived. The basket is lovely, and I am sure I will find something to put in it in the booth. And finally, what you can’t see are wooden lemons. I have been looking for lemons to put in a display sometime, as I have a picture with lemons in it. They will look good together.
Today my plan is to clean a bit and finish reading a book that I will share with you on Monday. I also plan on looking into a class online. It is always good to sharpen my skills. I also plan on writing a few notes. I think it is fun to send them, and what a surprise to receive something in the mail
As always I’m glad you’re here. I wish you the best day. Stay safe out there.
Best,
Amy
