I’m late, I’m late, for a very important date, no time to say hello, good-bye, I’m late, I’m late, I’m late. Good morning! It is after eight AM and I usually post by seven. Today is Presidents Day in the USA. It’s a federal holiday with deep roots in our nation’s history. It’s to honor all of our past and present presidents, especially George Washington, our first president. Schools are closed, which means our youngest doesn’t need to get up, so I slept till seven. I can’t tell you the last time I did that. I don’t know if it was good, though, because now I’m feeling a bit of a rush with all the things I need to get done today.

I wanted to share with you the latest book I read. It is meant for a younger audience, but I had never read it before. So my sister bought it for me for Christmas. The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett is a delightful book. It reminds the reader of the importance of connection, the power of nature, and what good vitamin D can do for the body. I loved it, and I recommend reading it.

Today I need to take some carrots to my antique booth. I took Easter eggs already and most have sold. Can you believe it? People are really ready for Spring around here.

I thought these would be cute in some of the milk glass I have for sale.

Over the weekend I did buy some flower seeds. Soon I will need to sow them into containers with grow lights. I would like to have some young plants to put in the ground when it is time. Remember my goal is to share these flowers with my neighbors who pass by my house.

As always, I’m glad you’re here.

I hope you’re having a slow morning, those who are off for Presidents’ Day.

Best,

Amy
