Hello friend. Yesterday was such a wonderful day. It was warm and sunny, the birds were singing merrily, and the squirrels were playfully chasing each other across the yard, adding a lively spirit to the morning. It was such a delightful change from last week, which was characterized by persistent cold temperatures and relentless snow that seemed to blanket everything in a frosty hush. This new warmth filled me with an invigorating energy and made me want to spring clean and get some things done around the house. I have been needing to clean our front windows for some time now; they had become quite grimy. It is a two-person job, and to my delight, Mr. Handsome said he could help me with it. I was thrilled. He helped take off the storm windows, making it easier for me to clean the insides thoroughly. Once we finished, the windows looked so much better, letting in the bright sunlight.

While we were outside, we had to check on the gardens, and I took a moment to appreciate the fresh air and the gentle warmth of the sun on my face. As I looked at the garden paths, I saw some new life sprouting all around. The daffodils have sprung up, standing tall and proud, but haven’t bloomed yet, waiting for the perfect moment to reveal their vibrant petals. Just in time for March, as we all know that the daffodil is March’s birth flower. Also, in the front garden, some of the tulips that I planted are peeking out of the ground. I couldn’t help but feel a sense of joy and anticipation as I observed the changes in nature. Friends, spring is on its way, bringing with it the promise of longer days and warmer weather, a refreshing reminder that life is bursting forth all around us.

I washed the spring/summer duvet to put on our bed, enjoying the fresh scent of clean linens filling the room. Everything seems crisp and clean. As I lay it out, I can’t help but appreciate how a simple task like this can bring such a sense of renewal and coziness. Now, hopefully that is the last of the super low temperatures, and we can fully embrace the vibrant colors and warmth of the changing season that is just around the corner.

As always I’m glad you’re here.

Best,

Amy
