Good morning. How are you today, friend? Today is a good day; I can feel it deep in my bones. The birds are singing sweet melodies in the trees, the sun is shining brightly, and there are pretty flowers blooming everywhere. There is so much to be thankful for. This morning, the greats are coming over for an egg hunt. I hide the eggs inside the house, creating little surprise spots for them to discover, but I wonder if I should also start hiding them outside. The thing is, I’m concerned about the chocolate inside melting in the warmth of the sun. Did you have egg hunts when you were kids? I remember that the Easter Bunny didn’t hide eggs at our house, but left a special puzzle or a book under a beautiful basket for each of us girls. The basket was always filled with a cozy sweater to match our lovely Easter dresses, accompanied by a sweet treat or two. My Grandma Bea would surprise us with a delightful popcorn bunny adorned with candy eyes, which was always a hit. Our Sanders grandparents would generously give us a sizable basket full of delectable chocolates, and it became a big joke in the family that I would eat chocolate until it made me sick. That’s the truth. It’s been a lifelong challenge for me, and I always thought it would be fun to have an egg hunt with endless chocolate surprises. So when our boys were little, the bunny hid eggs around the house, and the boys seemed to absolutely love it, their faces lighting up with joy at each discovery, laughter filling the air as they raced to find more hidden treasures. Such a fun part of celebrating Easter.

As always I’m glad you’re here,
Amy
