Hello Friend. Yesterday was such a pretty day and I think we will have a pretty day today. The rain on Easter made the plants in my garden look so good.

The tulips are pretty much gone but the lilac bushes are bursting with blooms.

Big fat bumble bees are having a great time buzzing around the lilacs, enjoying the fragrant blossoms that spread their sweet scent throughout the garden. I usually see pretty butterflies flitting from flower to flower on these lilac, but I haven’t seen any yet this season. Perhaps the cooler weather has kept them away. I planted some supertunia vista petunias, adding a splash of color to the landscape. To my delight, I was happy to see some worms in the soil, as they will help aerate and enrich the dirt, promoting healthy growth for all my plants. It’s a wonderful ecosystem, and I’m excited to see how everything blossoms in the coming weeks.

I would like to add some more lambs ear in other areas of the garden. I love the texture of their leaves, which are soft and velvety to the touch. They add some different texture that creates visual interest, contrasting beautifully with the more traditional flowers and greenery surrounding them. Additionally, the unique, silvery-green color of the lambs ear can brighten up sunny spots in the garden, making these areas appear more inviting. Their low maintenance requirements and ability to attract beneficial pollinators further enhance their appeal, making them a perfect choice for diversifying my garden’s landscape.
What are you planting in your garden? Do you have plans for creating a vibrant space filled with colorful flowers that attract butterflies and bees, or perhaps a vegetable patch brimming with fresh tomatoes, zucchinis, and leafy greens that can provide delicious meals for your family? It’s always exciting to think about the types of plants that can flourish in your own backyard, bringing not only beauty but also a sense of accomplishment and sustainability.
As always I’m glad you’re here.
Best,
Amy
