Holy heat wave Batman! We went from a cool spring to a very humid summer in what feels like the blink of an eye. The temperatures are not as high as they could be, but the humidity is through the roof, making it quite uncomfortable to be outside for long periods. I won’t be walking outside for the near future, out of fear that I might just melt into a puddle of sweat. Instead, I have decided that my walks will take place indoors. If you follow me on stories, you know that I like to take pictures of the things I see on my walk. It’s become a fun way to document my surroundings and share snippets of my day with all of you. This morning, I captured some intriguing scenes along my indoor route. Ha!

Not as pretty as nature, but hey, doesn’t Job have a sick drum set?
I should title this blog messy Monday. As I look around, every flat surface has something piled on it. I didn’t do a sweep last night before I went to bed, which has left me feeling a bit overwhelmed this morning, staring at the chaos that surrounds me. This is one of the things I need to conquer today, tackling the mess and restoring order so I can focus on my tasks without the distraction of clutter clouding my mind.

Mr. Handsome has a bird feeder with a camera embedded in it, allowing him to observe the various species of birds that visit to dine on the seeds. He finds great enjoyment in this, watching the unique behaviors of each bird. We receive a daily report detailing which type of bird graces his feeder, ranging from sparrows to finches. Last night, in a thoughtful gesture, Mr. Handsome put out a bucket of fresh water for the birds in case they might need a drink after their meal. Oh goodness. I think we might just need a bird bath next.

Happy Monday to you. Stay cool out there.
As always, I’m glad you’re here.
Best,
Amy
