Hello! I’ve been all over the place the last couple of days. I can’t seem to get it together, which is quite frustrating. I painted the flower frogs that I showed you on Monday with gesso, thinking it was white paint. Not that the gesso will hurt them—it will, in fact, seal them and provide a protective layer—but I clearly don’t have my head in the game lately. So, unfortunately, they are not ready for me to show you, and I hope to salvage the situation soon.
I did, however, use the oak leaves that I had cut out of a map to make a wreath. The leaves are glued onto a foam form with white school glue to ensure they stay in place. To enhance the rustic feel of the wreath, I purchased acorns at Hobby Lobby, which I then glued on with hot glue for a sturdy hold. I am planning to add the wreath to my cabin display that I will be putting together tomorrow, along with other handmade items that reflect the beauty of the outdoors. So, stay tuned to see the finished product of the artwork I’ve done lately, including this unique wreath that embodies the essence of autumn. Hopefully, I won’t forget to take a picture to capture this moment and share it with you here. Who knows the way my brain has been working lately.
