Hello Friend and happy Monday! Today is an incredibly big day for our son Max, as he embarks on his first day of college, a milestone that marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in his life. We are filled with a mix of emotions, from excitement to a bit of nervousness, as he steps into this new environment, ready to make friends and tackle new challenges. Praying for everyone who is starting today; may students everywhere find inspiration and motivation to pursue their dreams and passions. As they navigate through the ups and downs of college life, I hope this year becomes the best one yet for all of them. Go Max go, chase your dreams and make unforgettable memories along the way!

Over the weekend it was HOT, almost unbearable. I had planned to trim some trees and cut back a few plants in my garden, but the heat made it nearly impossible. Even at 7AM, when I thought it might be cooler, it was still too hot for me to venture outside. So, I decided to pivot and focus on some indoor work instead. I tackled heavy cleaning by pulling out my bathroom drawers and scrubbing them clean, revealing the hidden mess that had accumulated over time. They were gross, filled with forgotten items and dust bunnies, so it felt great to finally give them a thorough clean. Afterward, I took the time to reorganize them, creating a functional and tidy space. It seems like I do heavy cleaning around the time when school starts every year, almost as if it’s a rite of passage into the new season. Weird, I know. Anyway, after all that hard work, I made sure to take a break and indulge in my creative side by sitting down to paint. It has been a minute since I have done that, and I found it both fun and relaxing. Here is the picture that I painted. I truly enjoyed reconnecting with my artistic side amidst the chaos of cleaning.

I think these guys might need to go in a story book. What do you think?

As always I’m glad you’re here.

Best,

Amy
