Howdy and hello, friend. I walked outside this morning and needed a jacket. It made me excited for the new season that is quickly approaching, and it matches all the pumpkins I have sitting around on my porch and deck. The crisp air is invigorating, and I love how it brings a sense of change and anticipation. Do you like cooler weather, or do you prefer the hot weather? Personally, I am ready for the change. I do love summer, but around this time every year, I am glad to welcome autumn. There’s something magical about autumn that makes it one of my favorite times of the year.

What did you do over the weekend? I finished a commissioned piece that I had been working on., and I can’t wait to show you how it turned out. I also went to an estate sale, which was quite an adventure in itself. That estate sale was packed with people, creating a bustling atmosphere filled with excitement and chatter. I came away with some vintage items for the booth, which I think will really appeal to my customers, as well as some unique pieces for me to display in my house, adding character and charm to my living space. It was a fantastic weekend overall, blending my passion for art with a fun treasure hunt. I did drive out into the country to see if one of my favorite picking spots was reopened, but it wasn’t. Disappointed but undeterred, I then drove to a neighboring community where I usually enjoy a flea market, only to find that it was closed as well. With a sense of determination, I realized I would have to find a new area to call my favorite, as there are always hidden gems waiting to be discovered, and I’m excited at the prospect of exploring new places for my next adventure in vintage shopping.

Today the plan is to go to my booth and rearrange it for a fresh look. Some items have sold. I’m also considering taking some new pieces that I recently acquired, which I think will really catch the eye of my customers. If you follow me on stories, you will be able to see pictures of the booth there, where I’ll share the transformation process as well as sneak peeks of the new arrivals. I can’t wait to see how everything comes together!
