Hello friend. We got some rain yesterday, a refreshing change after a long dry spell. The ground is still cracked, and when you walk on the grass, it sounds like you’re walking on potato chips. Crunch! Crunch! We had such a lovely spring full of rain and lovely temperatures. However, when it became summer in the village where I live, it was hot, a streak that was broken yesterday after I think seven weeks without rain. I would love it to rain again today, the ground is so thirsty, it would be such a good gift.

Did you have a good weekend? Here in the U.S., people hit the lake as one last hurrah to the summer, enjoying the warm weather with family and friends while engaging in activities like swimming, fishing, and barbecues by the water’s edge. My family, however, stayed low and hung out at home, opting for a cozy weekend. I took the opportunity to cut back some bushes that had grown huge over the summer, their untamed branches encroaching on our outdoor space. Now, next spring, they will take off with renewed growth, and hopefully, they won’t grow so big this time, allowing us to maintain a neat and tidy appearance in our garden as we prepare for the blooming flowers that will soon follow.

Over the weekend, I did start painting ornaments, an endeavor I’ve eagerly anticipated for some time. I know it might seem too soon to begin such seasonal preparations, but for my business, this proactive approach is crucial. I have to be ahead of the game to ensure that I can offer these ornaments well before the holiday season hits, allowing my customers sufficient time to prepare and choose their favorites. I did put a grouping on my Etsy page 7frecklesbyAmy if you want to take a peek.

I wish for you the best day and always I’m glad you’re here. See you in stories.

Best,

Amy
