Hello Friend! Did you have a good weekend? I was busy all weekend, filled with various activities that kept me on my toes. On Friday, I grabbed a friend and we headed to a nearby farm for a junk fest, which I had heard so much about. We weren’t quite sure what to expect, but as we arrived, we were greeted by a picturesque venue with hay wagons transporting people to the small booths set up for shopping. The atmosphere was lively, with laughter and chatter filling the air, making it all the more enjoyable. I didn’t take one picture while I was there. I know, it sounds crazy, but I just didn’t think about it in the moment. The sun was blazing, and I guess my thought was let’s hurry and shop so we can get back in my air-conditioned car, where it would be cooler and more comfortable. We scoured the booths, excited by the vintage items available. We found some treasures, and it felt great to explore and make memories, despite the heat. Here are some of the treasures I found that will show up in my booth soon when I decorate for Christmas.

After the junk fest, I took my friend home and picked up another friend to watch some of girls in our youth group play tennis. Heidi, Hannah, and Alli are such fun girls. They played against each other because the team that came didn’t have enough players to play all of the girls from our team. Some how one of the girls got hit in the head and landed on the ground. She wasn’t hurt but thought the whole thing was funny. There are always laughs with those three. Again not one picture.

On Saturday, I went to a town with my mom and sister, where they were showing The Sound of Music on the big screen. It was a delightful surprise to discover that this year marks the 60th anniversary of the movie’s release, a true testament to its enduring charm and popularity that continues to resonate with audiences of all ages, across generations. My guys, minus one, decided to head off to a concert, leaving the other one behind to tackle some homework, which allowed me to go do something special with my mom and sister. It was such fun watching The Sound of Music in a theater, the vibrant visuals and melodic tunes filling the room with joy and nostalgia, creating a magical atmosphere that you simply can’t replicate at home. One scene particularly caught my attention, as I had never seen it on television before, and it added to the experience in an unexpected way, immersing us deeper into the story; plus, there was an intermission that allowed us to stretch our legs and chat about our favorite moments. The whole outing was a reminder of how special it is to share experiences with loved ones, creating a sense of camaraderie that made the day even more enjoyable.

My final outing for the weekend was Sunday night youth group, a lively gathering that I always look forward to. It’s always fun to hang out with the girls, sharing stories, laughing about their week, and supporting them through their ups and downs. Whether we’re engaging in games or discussing their hopes and dreams, the atmosphere is always filled fun making it a perfect way to wrap up the weekend.

Thank you for all who came out for my sale. I need to get to my booth and add more items.

Best,

Amy
