Hello Friend. It rained and stormed, but it rained, finally bringing some much-needed moisture to our drought-stricken land. Our ground is so dry and cracked. My flowers in the back gardens, have almost dried up, not from a lack of watering, but due to the relentless sun beating down on them day after day. Despite the challenges, the pumpkin plants are thriving and still producing pumpkins, their vibrant orange colors standing out against the backdrop of the fading greens. I think we have grown twenty pumpkins so far, a delightful surprise that has filled my back yard with life. What a blessing they have been to me, providing hope and a tangible reminder of the beauty that can still arise even in tough times.
My thoughts these days are of Christmas. I know it’s too soon, but I am unpacking items that I have bought all year long, eagerly anticipating how I can bring them to life for the festive season. Each box I open feels like a treasure trove, filled with decorations and unique gifts that I had carefully selected throughout the year, all in an effort to create something special for my booth. It is pretty much a mess in my storage area, with items stacked upon each other, waiting to go to the booth. I find myself imagining how each piece will contribute to the holiday spirit, enhancing the atmosphere and drawing in customers who are equally excited about this magical time of year. The clutter is overwhelming at times, yet it’s a reminder of the joy that awaits as I organize and transform this space into a winter wonderland that will delight those who visit.
I have painted a few charming designs of candy canes, gingerbread men, and snowmen for tea towels to add to my other two Santa tea towels, each of which reflects the whimsy and joy of the holiday season. The candy canes, with their vibrant red and white stripes, evoke the sweetness of Christmas treats, while the gingerbread men bring a nostalgic touch, reminding me of the delightful scents that fill the kitchen during holiday baking. The snowmen, adorned with red scarves and cheerful expressions, capture the magical essence of winter wonderlands, embodying the joy of snowball fights and building snow forts. I hope these additional designs will enhance my festive collection and spread warmth and cheer to all who see them during this special time of year.

I can’t remember if I showed you a picture of my booth after I added a few items post-sale. One item I added was a vintage Campfire Marshmallow tin, which has a charming, nostalgic appeal that instantly draws attention. I added it on Tuesday, and to my surprise, it is still there, sitting proudly on the table. I am shocked, to be honest. I normally don’t come across these delightful tins out in the “wild,” and now it is just sitting there, patiently waiting to go home with someone who appreciates its whimsical nature.

Well, that’s it from me today. I have much to do. I wish you the best weekend and as always I’m glad you’re here.
Best,
Amy
