Hello friend! Happy October. Can you believe that it is already October? Time seems to fly by so quickly, doesn’t it? I wish the air would be crisp with the arrival of fall, filling our lungs with the invigorating scent of woodsmoke and fallen leaves, but here it is warm. The fall festivals, estate sales, and vintage sales are all underway, offering a delightful array of options to explore and experience. Each weekend promises new adventures filled with pumpkin patches, local artisan markets, hayrides, and even spooky decorations that signal the approach of Halloween. It’s truly a fun time when the communities come together, making it hard to choose just one event to attend. There are simply too many to choose from, each with its unique charm and atmosphere, beckoning us to indulge in the seasonal festivities and create lasting memories with friends and family as we relish in all that fall has to offer.

Speaking of vintage sales, I happened upon two on Saturday that truly captured my attention. It was a delightful experience to wander through the bustling atmosphere, browsing an eclectic array of products ranging from rustic furniture to unique collectibles. Each vendor seemed to bring their own flair, creatively showcasing their items in ways that reflected their personal style and passion. I found myself mesmerized by the variety of wares offered, from charming kitchen utensils that had seen years of love to delicately crafted jewelry pieces that held a whimsical spirit. The artistry in their displays added to the allure, drawing customers in and encouraging conversations about the history behind each item. I purchased some items that I will be selling in my booth once my fall sale ends, which is this coming weekend; I’m excited to incorporate these finds into my selection, as they tell stories of their own and I believe will resonate with my customers. Overall, the vintage sales experience was not just a shopping trip but a celebration of creativity that left me inspired and eager to put the new to me items in my booth.

Do you remember when I started seeds in my garage of cosmos and zinnias? I put those little plants in the ground hoping they would survive, watering and tending to them daily, nurturing them as they reached toward the sun. A few made it through the hot weather and various pests. One of which, a cosmo, grew extremely big, towering over the others. I remember the package saying something like “large,” but I had no idea it would grow to be this large. In fact, I almost cut it down a few weeks ago because it was kind of an eyesore amidst the smaller blooms. But today, as I was watering the garden, I was greeted by a stunning display of bright blooms and full buds bursting with life. I couldn’t help but laugh to myself at how beautiful it had become, realizing how my initial impulse to remove it would have robbed me of this joy. I’m so glad I didn’t cut it down; it has transformed into a delightful centerpiece that I now look forward to seeing every day.

As always I’m glad you’re here. I wish you the best day.

Best,

Amy
