Hello Friend. How are you? On Friday I hung out with some family, enjoying a wonderful day of shopping during the first day of Dogwood Vintiques open house. We had so much fun browsing through the unique items and treasures the vendors offered, and I even scored some fantastic deals on vintage finds. Afterward, we grabbed some lunch at a charming local Mom and Pop restaurant that served the best homemade meals, rich in flavor and comfort. With our bellies full, I took my mom to the library to get a library card, a trip that brought back waves of nostalgia. As soon as I stepped inside, a rush of memories hit me like a cool breeze; it reminded me of the beautiful days when Mom took my sister and me to story time there when we were little. The warm smell of books filled the air, igniting a sense of wonder within me. I admired the beautiful grandfather clock that stands proudly by the reference desk, its ticking resonating with the echoes of time. The historic downtown that houses the library, filled with quaint shops, delightful cafes, and Missouri’s capitol building is a sight to behold, rich with stories of the past and the laughter of families making new memories together. It’s moments like these that remind me of the importance of family bonds and the treasures that lie in shared experiences.

Saturday, I moved slowly, puttering around the house, being creative and cleaning a bit. I borrowed an audiobook through Hoopla, Dead Winter Bones by Anna Penrose, listening while I painted roses to put on some cards for some dear friends.

I also worked on some summer ’26 art work to go on note cards, tea towels, coasters, and canvas totes.

Then on Sunday it was church day. Our oldest son, Job, played drums for worship. I love it when he plays.

After church I had a friend pick up a bow that I tied for Christmas. She is going to put it on a lantern for display.

And then it was time for me to serve at youth group. I love the girls that our in my small group and of course I love the other too. Last night we learned about joy. It is always my joy to write to you. I hope you have the best day.
Best,
Amy
