Hello Friend. We are one week away from Thanksgiving, a time filled with warmth, family gatherings, and delicious food. What are your plans for this special holiday? Do you prefer to stay home and cook for your family, whip up a feast for a large crowd, or perhaps join someone else’s celebration? This year, we are hosting my mom’s siblings, my cousins, our nieces, and my mother-in-law at our home. It’s certainly a big endeavor, but it will be a blessing to have everyone together, sharing laughter and creating memories. Just like the past two years, we are opting to have our turkey smoked, which simplifies the cooking process for Mr. Handsome and me. This way, we don’t have to deal with brining the turkey and waking up at the crack of dawn to get it started. I will still get up early; however, it won’t be as early as I would if I were cooking the turkey. This arrangement also alleviates a lot of stress for me, allowing me to relax and enjoy part of the parade that will be on TV. As the days approach, though, my house is still not quite ready for guests. I see piles everywhere that I must conquer this weekend to prepare our home for a lively and joyful Thanksgiving celebration. It’s a bit overwhelming, but I am determined to turn my space into a warm and inviting environment for all to enjoy.

On Wednesday, I showed you a tin that I had envisioned transforming into a Santa Claus. Unfortunately, my plans didn’t quite come to fruition as I had hoped. While I managed to create and paint the individual pieces, I found that the paint wasn’t completely dry when it came time to assemble everything, which was a bit disappointing. I want to ensure everything looks perfect when I piece it together. If you come back on Monday, I hope to have the Santa completed and ready for display, along with some other charming crafts I’ve been working on, which I think you will really enjoy. I can’t wait to share my progress with you!

Today I am working at the antique mall. I’m sure it will be a busy day, filled with eager customers exploring the treasures, but a fun day nonetheless. The lively atmosphere is often enhanced by the cheerful chatter of fellow vendors and visitors alike. If you are local, come by and say hi; I’d love to see you.

Tomorrow starts early as I am going to pick at a barn if it is not too muddy; I’m really looking forward to exploring what treasures I might find. I hope to show you pictures of that too. My plan is to also hit an estate sale afterward, where I might stumble upon vintage items. You might find some pictures on my stories if you follow along on Instagram, as I aim to document this adventure and share the excitement with you. It promises to be a busy weekend full of fun things to do and work, mixing productivity with creativity and exploration. I hope you have a great weekend filled with your own adventures and moments to cherish.

Best,

Amy
