Hello Friend! It’s December. Crazy how the year has flown. Do you have your Christmas tree up yet? Saturday everyone was home and we put up our tree. It is always good to have helpers, especially when they carry and put the tree together. We enjoyed the day just visiting, sharing stories, and laughing together as we hung the ornaments on the branches, each piece sparking a memory. Eating chocolate peppermint cookies added a sweet touch to our gathering. In fact, I think that was Max’s prayer at dinner, expressing his thankfulness that we were all home together.

Here is our tree this year.

I added to my plaid collection by getting out pine sprigs, a snowman, a vintage light box, vintage icicles, and Shiny Brite ornaments.

Since we don’t have a fireplace, I hang our stockings on the railing that leads downstairs. This year, I hung one of my snowman buckets there, too.

We always put the nativity on the table that moves from the living room.

I got out our Christmas pillows. Mr. Handsome just loves all of the pillows I put everywhere (do you hear the sarcasm).

And finally, I put my collection of bottle brush trees that I have glued onto some old items, and I added a Santa that I made a while back. See the snowman? I made him new this year. I think he is so happy. I will be making more in the next few weeks.

Maybe if I get my act together, I will get the spare bedroom decorated for Christmas. I always love how it looks all decked out.
