Hello Friend. Today is a blustery day, with strong winds whipping through the trees and sending leaves swirling in a chaotic dance. It’s the highest in temperature right now that it will be all day, creating a brief window of respite before the chill sets in. This weekend, it is supposed to be very cold, with temperatures plummeting to 7°, a stark reminder that winter is knocking at our doors. Thankful for furnaces and blankets, I find comfort in the warmth of my home as I prepare for the drop in temperature. When it is this cold, remember to check on those around you, especially the elderly and those without proper heating; a small gesture can make a world of difference in someone else’s life during these frigid days.
While at the antique mall I shopped a little. I can’t get away from there without something, it seems, as each visit leads me to find a hidden treasure. This time, I purchased tiny vintage blow mold Santas that fit on the traditional Christmas lights, not the new LED versions. The package has 40 Santas in it, I’m not sure what I am going to do with them yet, but their whimsical appeal makes me consider various possibilities. I might decorate my booth with them next year, incorporating them into a festive display that captures the attention of fellow shoppers. I just thought they were so cute, and their cheerful presence is sure to spread holiday joy wherever they are placed.

I don’t have much going on today, just a few errands and some present wrapping, which should be a nice way to spend the day. I plan to visit the grocery store to pick up a few last-minute ingredients for tomorrow’s festivities. After that, I’ll dive into the joyful task of wrapping presents, adding colorful ribbons and tags, making sure everything is just perfect. Tomorrow, the greats come over for the candy cane hunt, a delightful tradition that I always look forward to. I am sure they will have fun as they search high and low, giggling and squealing with excitement at every hidden candy cane they find, making new memories that will last a lifetime. Surely I will remember to take pictures.
What are you doing today? I would love to hear from you.
Wishing you a Holly Jolly day.
Best,
Amy
