Hello Friend. Did you have a restful weekend with a good book, good food, and family? I did. On Friday, we celebrated our oldest son’s birthday with family over for a pizza party. It was fun visiting with everyone, sharing stories, and my greats were a big hit on both sides of our family. On Saturday, I took down the Christmas decorations and spent the rest of the day drawing with my new markers that Mr. Handsome gave me for Christmas. I felt inspired and created some vibrant new designs for greeting cards. Here are a few of them.

On Sunday after church, we attended a heartfelt send-off for a young soldier who will be leaving in just two days. That was bittersweet, as I felt the fear weighing heavily in my heart for his safety and well-being. Reflecting on the sermon preached yesterday, I realized that I cannot act as a gatekeeper, holding back my feelings or fears, because the Lord has bigger plans for us all. It’s a strong reminder that, despite the challenges ahead, I need to trust Him with everything, knowing that faith can provide comfort and strength in difficult times. As friends and family shared stories and well-wishes, I felt a growing sense of hope that our community’s support would bolster him in his service, reaffirming that we are all connected in this journey of life and faith.

I hope you have the best Monday you can possibly have.

As always I’m glad you’re here,

Amy
