Hello Friend! How are you? I hope your day is good so far. I went picking last Thursday with a friend. It was fun going, but on the way home, it was rainy and the roads felt somewhat dangerous to navigate. The rain came down in sheets, making it difficult to see; two semi trucks had jackknifed on the highway, creating a chaotic scene. My friend carefully drove past them, and we were grateful to make it home safely after such an eventful day.
I found some goodies to take to my booth, as well as a few special items to save for later. Here is a picture of some of the items that I already took to the booth.

That rolling pin is as big as my arm. I have only seen one like it and it was during the Christmas season. It definitely is pretty neat. The tray (I bought two) is an alphabet tray, not the traditional one that you would expect to see, but vintage and good for a collector of small items. The other items pictured include a fan, which I have yet to test for functionality, but I displayed old postcards in the metal face. The Better Homes and Gardens cookbook is usually a staple for a bride, and the stand that it is on has an aged patina that speaks to its history.
That sums up the creative side to me, which is something I truly cherish and nurture. I hope to have more items painted or made to show you on Wednesday. In the meantime, I did read two books already this year: The Little Shop on Silver Linings Street and The Beekeeper’s Cottage by Emma Davies. Both of these stories are charming and delightful little reads, perfect for anyone looking for something light and uplifting with a touch of Hallmark-like warmth. They transport you to endearing settings and introduce you to characters who face their challenges with resilience and heart, making them perfect companions for a cozy afternoon.
As always I’m glad you’re here.
Best,
Amy
