Hello Friend. Are you hanging in there? I know many people that are sick with sore throats, which can be quite uncomfortable. It seems like a lot of folks are struggling with this issue lately, and I guess it is that time of year, when it is cold and the weather is dry, bringing on bugs that are spreading easily. The sudden temperature changes can weaken our immune systems, making us more susceptible to these seasonal ailments. It’s important to stay hydrated and warm, perhaps with some soothing teas or warm soups, to help ease our discomfort and fight off these pesky bugs.

January can be a struggle with the hype of Christmas gone, as the excitement of the holiday season begins to fade and the reality of a new year sets in. I try to stay busy checking on people and creating during the long days of winter, as it helps to lift my spirits and ward off the winter blues. Recently, I made a book like the ones I used to make all the time. This book is going to be sold in my booth once I put rings on it to hook all the pages together. I cut paper in different sizes added some watercolor embellishments that bring a touch of whimsy, and included tags and envelopes for treasures that will inspire the owner to fill it with their own cherished memories. This book is specifically designed for journaling, adhering mementos such as concert tickets, movie tickets, and other little keepsakes that tell a story, allowing its future owner not only to relive special moments but also to preserve them in a beautifully crafted way. As the winter days stretch on, this creative pursuit gives me a sense of purpose and fulfillment, reminding me that even in the coldest months, there is warmth to be found in artistry and connection.

As always I’m glad you’re here. I challenge you to take some time to sew, read and to create.

Best,

Amy
