Hello Friend. How are you? You hear from me so often that sometimes it is hard for me to think of things I haven’t already told you. Let’s see… working at the antique mall was fun. It was so refreshing to get out after being stuck in the house for a couple of days. You know, if you choose to stay at home, it’s one thing, but having to stay at home because of snow is quite another; the feeling of being trapped can be a bit overwhelming. Ugh. Anyway, yesterday I chose to stay home, making the most of my time indoors. I did some chores, drew a picture of my day to capture the moments visually, wrote a letter to a friend to stay connected, and even made homemade valentines to spread some joy. It turned out to be a surprisingly productive day. Today, I’m determined to get out and explore the world a bit. How about you? What are you up to? I hope you’re finding ways to enjoy your time as well.

Oh, I wanted to tell you about a book that I finished. It is the best book that I have read in a very long time. If you like historical fiction, you might like this one. It is called Carnegie’s Maid by Marie Benedict. It tells of Clara Kelley, who is not who they think she is and instead carries a secret life as she navigates the challenges and intrigues of the world around her. The novel beautifully captures the essence of the time, exploring themes of identity, ambition, and the pursuit of a better future. As Clara becomes intertwined with the life of Andrew Carnegie, the story unfolds in a way that keeps you captivated, shedding light on the complexities of social class and the power dynamics of that era. I found myself deeply invested in Clara’s journey, and I think you would too! Let me know if you read it. I would love to hear what you think.

I am going to leave you with the picture that I drew of my day.

I hope you have a great day.

Best,

Amy
