Hello friend. Are you ready for the Super Bowl? It’s that thrilling time of year when excitement fills the air, and everyone is buzzing about the big game, with anticipation building as kickoff approaches. What is your tradition? Do you get together with family to celebrate, sharing delicious snacks—perhaps wings, nachos, and a variety of dips—while cheering for your favorite team? Or do you gather with friends, perhaps hosting a lively watch party filled with laughter and friendly banter, where everyone wears their team’s colors and debates the best plays? Do you watch for the halftime show, enjoying the much-anticipated performances by popular artists, or do you sneak in a few moments to catch the clever commercials that have become a tradition of their own? Or is it not something you’re interested in at all? We are going to watch it as a family. On the menu are meatballs, cheese dip, and maybe pizza.
How about the Winter Olympics? What is your favorite sport to watch? I tend to like ice skating. The gracefulness of the skaters as they glide across the ice, executing intricate jumps and spins, leaves me in awe. However, after last Friday’s hockey game, I think I might be interested in watching hockey more closely. The fast-paced action, the camaraderie among teammates, and the strategic play involved make it a captivating sport to follow. All I know is, go Team USA.
I have been busy keeping house, trying to maintain a sense of order amidst the usual chaos that comes with daily life. Every day, I set aside some time to accomplish something from the ‘spring cleaning’ list I created. Some of the tasks I have successfully checked off include scrubbing the oven hood, washing the pantry floor, and cleaning out the studio closet, which had become a catch-all for various items. I also made sure to scrub the washing machine, an appliance often overlooked. The boys’ cabinet in their bathroom was another project; I organized it and removed clutter, making it easier for them to find their essentials. Additionally, I took many loads of gently used items to Goodwill, decluttering our home. With spring on the horizon, I’m looking forward to spending less time indoors and more outside planting a garden filled with colorful flowers, where I can enjoy the beauty of nature.
On Monday, my sister went with me to rearrange my antique booth. It is a new month, which means new items needed to be added to refresh the space, giving it a different look.
