Hello friend. What a busy weekend we had. Mr. Handsome and I went thrifting on Friday and grabbed some pizza to bring home for the start of his birthday celebration. He found some vintage books and CDs. I found some neat items that I have cleaned up to take to the antique booth today. If you’re local, I invite you to visit my booth at Dogwood Vintiques, 1415 Missouri Blvd, Jefferson City. My booth is number 7 and the name of it is Evergreen. Then on Saturday, we had Mr. Handsome blow out a candle on top of a doughnut, his favorite. For lunch, we went to Olive Garden, which is also a favorite of his. I think he had a good birthday.

On Saturday, I did carve out some time to paint a commission of a jeep that held a significant place in someone’s life. They loved it a lot. Unfortunately, they had to give it up because of children, as their growing family required more space and practicality in their daily lives. Understanding the sentimental value attached to the jeep, the mother commissioned this painting as a present—a heartfelt token of what used to be, to hang on a wall or sit on a table, allowing them to cherish those memories even as they moved forward in life.

Then on Sunday after church and before a party for our children’s minister, I drew two pictures. Inspired by some artwork I saw on Instagram, I decided to try my hand at it. I’m not sure what I am going to do with these two drawings yet. Regardless of their future, I am genuinely happy with how they turned out.

As always I’m so glad you’re here.

Best,

Amy
