Hello Friend, happy Monday! I hope you had a good weekend filled with relaxation and fun. We had a particularly quiet weekend at home, which was a nice change of pace. Today, I thought I would share with you some things I bought while thrifting over the weekend. On Friday, my friend and I decided to explore a few garage sales and wandered into an antique shop we’ve been meaning to visit for a while. I was thrilled to find some unique items that will be perfect for my booth, including vintage decor pieces. In addition, I also stumbled upon a couple of items that caught my eye for myself. It’s always such a thrill to uncover hidden treasures while thrifting!

These vintage thermos’ are the rage, capturing the hearts of collectors and decor enthusiasts alike. I will add my handmade Santa heads to them for a fun and whimsical Christmas display in my booth, creating a delightful holiday atmosphere. Each thermos will become a unique piece of art, combining nostalgia with festive cheer.

I bought this cute plaid lunch box to go with my collection. I didn’t even see it at the antique shop. My friend spotted it. It goes to show you that in an antique shop, you have to keep your eyes peeled, looking up and down, and in every nook and cranny, as treasures can be lurking in the most unexpected places. Each time I visit, I remind myself to be observant, because the thrill of discovering something special makes the hunt all the more worthwhile.

This Meyer tin, I had to buy because my last name is Meyer.

We stopped by the shop where our booths are at and I purchased two items. One for myself and the other one as a present.

This is a watercolor of Paris. I thought of my niece when I saw it so I had to buy it and tuck it away for her birthday.

I bought this U.S.A. book to go on my dining room table to add to the display already there.

And that’s a wrap. I will be adding some of the items I found after the Fourth of July to my booth.

I wish you the best day.

Best,

Amy

Glad you got the USA book. It will be great to display now since we have started the celebration for America 250. It is hard to believe it has been 50 years since we celebrated the Bicentennial. Red, white and blue are sure to be great theme colors for a while.
