Hello friend, how are you? It is hot here in mid Missouri, and the heat seems to envelop everything around us. The temperature registers at 100° with the humidity at 72%, making the air feel thick and heavy. Toasty is the word for it, and it definitely calls for plenty of cold drinks and shade. I’m really thankful that all the schools these days have air conditioning; it makes a world of difference for the kids and teachers alike during these steamy days. Speaking of school, are your kiddos back at school yet? Around here, this is the second week, which means all fall programs are starting back up. Last night was our fall kick-off for youth group, and we celebrated with a color war. I think fun was had by all, as the laughter and camaraderie filled the air, making it a perfect way to welcome the new season!

I have some exciting news to share with you. I have TWO new booths at Dogwood, and I couldn’t be happier! They are small but I am thrilled to have the extra space to let my creativity soar. I finished setting up one today, and later this week, I will set the other one up as well. It’s an incredible opportunity that I hope will allow me to connect more with the community and share my passion with a wider audience.

I have a few more items to add to this booth but for now I think it came together pretty good.

Tomorrow is the start of MomCo, a much-anticipated event that brings together a diverse group of moms from our community. We have ninety moms signed up, all eager to engage and share their experiences. It is such a great outreach for our community, fostering connections and friendships that can last a lifetime. It’s a place where moms can meet other moms who are navigating similar challenges and joys in the same season that they are in. They can enjoy a delicious warm breakfast without having to serve anyone but themselves. During the gathering, attendees will have the opportunity to listen to an inspiring speaker who will share valuable insights, or participate in a creative craft that allows for self-expression and bonding. The event is filled with lots of discussion, as moms connect over shared experiences, exchanging tips and advice on everything from parenting to personal well-being. There is also ample opportunity for play dates with their children, offering a chance for little ones to make new friends while moms can socialize and support one another. Additionally, plans for upcoming moms’ night outs will be discussed, ensuring ongoing community engagement beyond this event. If you are a mom and would like to come, you are invited. MomCo starts at 9:00 at Capital West Christian Church.
