Hello friend! Over the weekend I decided to stay put on Saturday and not go anywhere so I could catch up on some artistic projects that had been lingering on my to-do list. I recently had a friend cut out two Santa shapes for me out of wood to paint for my booth. It was a challenge to transform these plain wooden figures into colorful decorations that would attract attention. So Saturday was the day that I buckled down and painted them, carefully layering colors and adding details to bring them to life. As I immersed myself in this creative endeavor, I listened to The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year, the December book for my book club, which provided a captivating backdrop to my painting session. Although the book was not my favorite since I prefer Historical Fiction, it still held my interest and added an engaging element to the day. I found myself occasionally pausing to ponder the twists in the story, while simultaneously working on the Santas.

Also on my to do list are six ornaments created specifically for two people who hold cherished memories of the houses they recently moved from. These ornaments are not just simple decorations; they represent a special gift, a heartfelt gesture from two people who wants to preserve the legacy of their family’s past. The sentiment behind this gift is profound, as it symbolizes the love and nostalgia for the home that their children grew up in—a place filled with laughter and precious moments. As they recently moved from these houses, the ornaments will serve as tangible reminders of the warmth and joy that once filled those walls, allowing the children to connect with their roots and carry those memories forward into their new life. What a thoughtful way to honor their past while embracing the future! Here is a picture of a dog and house ornament I painted.

If you would like one just give me a shout. They sell for $25 and they come with ribbon, and the name of the pet or house.
What are you making?
Best,
Amy
