Hello Friend! Did you have a Happy Halloween? Did you have many trick or treaters? We never have anyone come by where we live, but we did go and see the greats in their costumes. It’s always such a joy to see the creativity and excitement that comes with dressing up. We have a new great that was born on October 24, so we went to meet her and saw her in her adorable pumpkin costume, complete with a little green stem hat that made her look even more precious. We also got to see her sister and brother in their costumes too; Scout was dressed as Daphne from Scooby-Doo, while Rhett transformed into Batman, complete with a cape and mask. They were so cute, running around and showing off their outfits, making us all laugh with their playful antics. After that heartwarming family gathering, I then met with two of the ladies I write a Bible study for. We enjoyed a lovely brunch together where we drank cider, chai, and lavender tea. We missed Henley though, the one who brings the spunk to the group. It was a fun morning filled with great conversation. It is always fun to see those busy college girls.

I picked over the weekend and found some great items.

A great piece of American folk art, the neat log cabin stands as a testament to simpler times, capturing the essence of rural life. A federal mirror, reflecting not only light but also an era of elegance and craftsmanship. Adding a whimsical touch to the collection is a not-so-old Uncle Sam cookie jar, a playful nod to the patriotic spirit that defines much of American culture. Alongside these unique pieces are Johnson Brothers dishes- I have been wanting these dishes for some time. A neat black cat ashtray adds a hint of quirky decoration to a space. Additionally, the vintage toy Sparkler box reminds us of childhood joys and the magic of play, while a Namco jelly dish, with its soft colors and playful design, finishes off this eclectic assortment.

How about you? Did you find some great finds over the weekend?

As always I am glad you are here.

Best,

Amy
